Corrections
Where an article contains an error that affects its meaning, we will correct it and add a dated correction note at the end of the article explaining what changed. Small changes such as typing errors may be corrected without a note.
Retractions
We may retract an article if it contains serious errors, plagiarism, breaches of patient confidentiality, or other ethical problems. A retracted article will be clearly marked “Retracted” with the date and reason. The text may stay online so that the record is transparent, unless it must be removed for legal reasons or to protect someone’s privacy.
Removal requests
Authors may ask us to remove an article. We will consider each request, taking into account the public record and the reasons given.
Response times
We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 working days.
